Fortnite is no stranger to in-game events. Developer Epic seems to rather enjoy making a spectacle within the game with time-limited content that gathers people together. The newest event, however, looks like it might be strange even for Fortnite, with musician Marshmello hinting that he will be performing a concert inside the game on Saturday.
It started with Marshmello, whose real name is Christopher Comstock, tweeting on Thursday that fans should keep their eyes on Fortnite’s Pleasant Park for a set.
He then updated his concert page to list Pleasant Park as a venue for an upcoming concert taking place this Saturday at 2:00 p.m. ET. Posters inside the game confirm the time, date, and location, so it’s not like he will be going in there totally unsanctioned to sing into a headset. With Epic behind it, you can bet it’s going to be a rather elaborate event.
Marshmello was one of the winners of Epic’s celebrity Fortnite event last year at E3 alongside streamer Ninja, so it makes sense that Epic would want him for a big Fortnite concert.
