Legend of Mana arrived in 2000, with a lot to live up to for North American fans of the Mana series, following up the Secret of Mana SNES title. While not everyone loved the “drop and play” map where you assemble towns and dungeons to encounter and the lack of a real story, the title’s art, music, and adherence to many of the same systems from Secret of Mana charmed plenty of RPG fans on the PlayStation.
While the Mana series has been relegated to limbo for ages, we’d love to see the unique mix of charm, action-RPG combat, and multiplayer options come back for another round in the modern era. Stick around for another unique RPG entry in the second segment and let us know what you think of the games in the comments!
