Solid Snake as he appeares in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Update: EVO has issued an update on Twitter, clarifying that the video of Solid Snake many believed to be a tease for some Metal Gear Solid-related Tekken 7 DLC was “our idea of a little joke.”
Just to clear things up, the Snake cameo video that we showed during Tekken finals was our idea of a little joke. It was not intended to imply a character reveal, and was done on our own, without consulting Bandai Namco. Sorry for any confusion!

Original Story: During Evo 2019, Bandai Namco teased a partnership with Konami during Tekken’s presence at the annual tournament that will bring Solid Snake to Tekken 7 as a DLC fighter. The tease was not streamed and instead presented exclusively to show attendees. Associate editor Suriel Vazquez is at Evo 2019 and confirms the tease. In the tease, Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada was seen speaking with Solid Snake in a codec conversation.

This isn’t Solid Snake’s first appearance in a fighting game as he famously appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and then returned to Super Smash Bros. last year for Ultimate (seen above).
