The Raven has landed! Halo: The Master Chief Collection season 6 has arrived and brings with it new tiered rewards, the Waterfall map for Halo 3, The Exchange, and so much more. The new season also brings the ability to swap out your team mid-game in custom matches, giving even more freedom to players.
In the latest Halo Waypoint blog post, the team over at 343 Industries has broken down what players can expect from the latest season that explores the “heroic exploits of Fireteam Raven.” Raven’s celebration comes with it unique new armor sets, weapon and vehicle skins, more customization, animated visors and nameplates, Escalation Slayer, and so much more.

With season 6 now live, here’s what you can expect from the Master Chief Collection regarding new content:
Currently, the canceled Halo Online Waterfall map is now available in Halo 3 and is available in custom games. Escalation Slayer is also a focal point of the new season, available in Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4. A new weapon has also been added to Escalation Slayer to keep it feeling fresh and exciting.
Something super new added is The Exchange. According to 343, “The customization options in MCC span far and wide – from classic looks, to brand new items in each successive Season Pass, we’re always looking at ways to make sure that you’ve got a way to get fresh new gear, while also limiting the perils of FOMO.”
“With The Exchange, we’re going to be rotating items from previous Seasons through each week – and we’re even going to use this as an avenue to show off some brand new items that aren’t in the Season Pass. The first Exchange-exclusive set will be the Rhine armor set (unlocked as a bundle, available all season long), and the Rhine weapon skins (unlocked separately from the armor bundle, notably).”
There is some timed content as well, as is normal for new seasons. New nameplates can be seen, including a Pride version with a rainbowed Master Chief helmet, as well as timed seasonal challenges:
- Package Deal: Compete the Non-Prophet Organization and Story Scorey Challenges.
- Double Up: Complete the Spree Real Estate and Nerdy Thirty Challenges.
- Best At Both: Complete the Point Guard and Ranked Beats Everything Challenges.
