Continuing the second chapter of Battlefield V’s Tides of War live service, today DICE announced the addition of a new Axis tank to unlock, as well as some changes to improve the recently released Panzerstorm map.
The new tank is the Sturmgeschutz IV, which was seen previously in a teaser trailer for Chapter 2. The German tank was used in the later stages of World War II, becoming an effective tank killer on the Eastern Front. You can unlock the tank by completing the weekly challenge.
The other major change coming via this update is a reworking of the tank-focused Panzerstorm map. To bolster defense at the F point in conquest, DICE added buildings to make it four times bigger. They also added an alley of trees between G and D to give infantry more cover moving between the locations. To further help out the infantry stuck moving in wide open areas, DICE added ditches and mounds long the edges of fields. Pilots will also appreciate the raised flight ceiling, giving them more vertical space to maneuver.
In addition, DICE has added new functionality to the Practice Range, including the ability to practice using a Panzerfaust and a skeet shooting range. A slew of gameplay changes launch alongside the content drop, which you can read all about here.
