PlayStation Now subscribers are getting a big dose of superhero content this month. Sony announced that Marvel’s Avengers will be a part of the batch of games hitting the library for April. Crystal Dynamics’ multiplayer hero title will join Borderlands 3 and The Long Dark.
All three games will be available tomorrow, April 6. Marvel’s Avengers will be available to subscribers until July 5. The game puts players and their friends in the boots of Earth’s mightiest heroes in a game that combines action, RPG, and live-service elements to mixed results.
Meanwhile, subscribers have until September 29 to dive into Borderlands 3. The multiplayer looter-shooter landed during the fall 2019 and brings the explosive gameplay and irreverent writing to a new generation of players. You can read our review here.
The Long Dark is a survival game that challenges players to stay alive in a frigid wilderness. It’s not perfect, but if survival enthusiasts looking for a new main squeeze should give it a look. Sony also doesn’t list an exit date for The Long Dark, so subscribers can take their time exploring its harsh world. Check out our review here.
If you haven’t taken the dive on PS Now, Sony announced a 7-day free trial for the service beginning April 7. The on-demand service includes a ton of titles for PS2, PS3, and PS4 that can either be streamed or downloaded to your local machine. The service has slowly been trying to position itself as more of a competitor to Xbox Game Pass by gradually adding newer blockbuster titles and by giving players the ability to install games instead of just streaming them.
As a reminder, subscribers still have time to enjoy two games from last month’s batch of titles: Ace Combat 7 leaves May 31 and World War Z exits September 6.
