When the Walking Dead: The Final Season’s third episode launched against all odds last month, the placeholder image for the fourth episode suggested we’ll see it before the end of March. A tweet from publisher Skybound Games confirmed that as accurate today, revealing that the final episode will launch on March 26, ending the story of Clementine once and for all.
In addition, the entire season is being boxed together as a physical release the same day for consoles, meaning you can grab it all in one package at once including the final episode.
The Walking Dead: The Final Season is being developed at Skybound Games with a team made primarily of former Telltale staff that were gathered together after the company folded without paying its employees severance. The “Still Not Bitten” developer team was reportedly assembled with financial support from Epic, which then gained exclusivity over new PC purchases of the final season.
It is not clear what will happen with the team once the final episode wraps up development.
