With the Mortal Kombat movie making its grand debut later this week, we here at Game Informer thought that now is the perfect excuse to celebrate this epic fighting franchise. We’ll be celebrating all week, but with our love of cosplay we couldn’t help but to show our appreciation for this series with one Mortal Kombat fan’s creative take with this incredible Sub-Zero cosplay. Ever see a cosplay so good that it looks like it came straight out of a Mortal Kombat movie? If not, now you have.

The cosplayer in question hails from the UK and goes by KennyCosplayStuff on social. When I first stumbled upon his Sub-Zero nod, I had to do a double-take to make sure it wasn’t a still from the upcoming reboot. Nope, it’s all him, and it’s amazing.

The detailing on the mask is especially impressive, but the overall look is the perfect homage to the fan-favorite character. Adding to that, he also shared a wider shot with a snow effect and we may or may not have fallen in love a little bit:

With photography by the amazingly talented Amy Elizabeth, the pair sure knows how to make the world of Mortal Kombat come to life. While the above two shots are impressive, it was the below photograph that made me think this was a shot from the upcoming movie:

There are so many amazing cosplayers out there sharing their own tributes to Mortal Kombat, and that’s a testament to how widely beloved the NetherRealm franchise is. With so many iterations of different characters through the years, it’s easy to find inspiration within a specific fighter.
